Olbia
Olbia is an interesting town on the island of Sardinia, full of history, culture,
entertainment, fashion and shopping.
Here you'll find monuments, museums and archeological sites, such as the Tomb
of the Giants, the Holy Well, the Punic Walls, the Pedres Castle, the Roman
Aqueduct and remains of a Roman farm.
Some of the more significant monuments are the 19th century buildings, such
as the ones that house the Simpliciana Library and the Municipal Building, as
well the Basilica of San Simplicio and San Paolo, constructed in the 1700s.
Finally, take a trip to the recently renovated Archeological Museum and then
simply walk around the picturesque historical center of the town and its port
area. Olbia also offers a crystal clear sea and beautiful beaches.
Divers enjoy exploring the underwater world of Olbia's sea and fishermen delight
at the various types of fish that characterize the marine environment of this
port town.
When the sun goes down, then, you can enjoy Olbia's very active nightlife,
with its numerous clubs, discotheques and restaurants, many of which have become
famous on an international scale.
