Anacapri
Enchantment with Anacapri's beauty dates back to Roman times. Indeed, even
Roman emperors have fallen in love with this tranquil town immersed in the serenity
of nature.
Anacapri is the "other" town on the island of Capri, the first, and most famous
being the town named Capri, like the island itself. The latter, because of its
high international profile, attracts a great number of tourists each year and
can at times become "crowded".
Anacapri, on the other hand, offers all the beauty of the island's great natural
surroundings, historical wealth and culture, in a much more discrete setting.
Take a walk through the historical center, along streets that meander between
white houses, admire the magic of the countryside that falls away to a beautiful
seaside atmosphere and stop into any one of the local restaurants to taste the
excellent cuisine and lap up the warm hospitality.
Head to Solaro Mountain for breathtaking views or check out the Axel Munthe
Villa-Museum and the archeological remains of the Damecuta villa.
Whatever you choose to do on your vacation, Anacapri will provide you with
the ability to discover something new around every corner.
