Riccione
Riccione, in the northern Region of Emilia-Romagna, is one of the most popular
tourist destinations on the Adriatic Riviera; indeed, together with the city
of Rimini, it is one of the most well-known beach cities in all of Italy.
The town has been called "the green pearl of the Adriatic" and attracts a number
of younger tourists who are interested, not only in its well-equipped beaches,
but also in its vibrant nightlife. Night spots and clubs abound both along the
coast and in the hills of the city.
Families with children also enjoy Riccione, however, thanks to the presence
of theme parks, some of which are among the most famous in Italy. Oltremare,
where kids can see dolphins, seahorses and other marine animals, and Aquafan,
a stylish water park, are some examples.
The city also offers some great opportunities for relaxation, thanks to its
thermal establishments and its wide bike paths and streets, on which many tourists
enjoy bike riding or a simple walk along the beach
