Padova (Padua)
Settled as early as the 6th century BCE, this former fishing village is located
in the centre of the larger Veneto region. It has been a centre for trade with
the rest of Italy and Venice for thousands of years.
Gourmets will relish the fine access to a wide variety of fresh ingredients
that Padova has to offer in markets and in restaurants.
Beautification projects in the early 2000's cleaned up some of the neighbourhoods
that had fallen into disrepair.
